In July 2000, the anti-porn group Omaha for Decency ran a
full page ad in the Omaha World Herald. The ad
expressed the group's support for the prosecution of Omaha
stores that sell porn. This ad was signed by Omaha area clergy.
One of the
signers of the ad was Father Franklin Dvorak. In April 2012, a woman
reported to the Omaha archdiocesan review board that Father Frank Dvorak had
sexually abused her in the early 1970s when she was a high school
student and Dvorak was assigned to Sacred Heart parish in Norfolk. The
review board determined that the allegations are credible and Dvorak has
been suspended from ministry at least until a full investigation is complete.
(The allegations are too old for him to be criminally charged.) (Omaha World Herald, 4/30/2012) Father
Dvorak appears to be another hypocritical censor, crusading against
porn then being investigated for sex abuse.
Below is the portion of the anti-porn ad with
Father Dvorak listed as a supporter. (The entire ad can be viewed here.)
